Educational Qualification & Experience
- As per MHRD letter No. 27-11/2011 Ts.I dated 23 April 2014 for Assistant Professor Grade-I. Candidates must be able to teach core/elective courses of the department applied for. Related research specializations may be considered if otherwise eligible. Bring latest OBC-NCL/EWS certificate (issued after 01/04/2026) to interview if applicable.
Age Limit
- Fresh appointments beyond 35 years are discouraged, except candidates with an exceptionally brilliant research career and an ongoing/approved externally funded project. Eligibility on all counts (including age) as on the online closing date.

- City classes (HRA): X = Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune. Y and Z cities are as listed by the Department of Expenditure (OM 21.07.2015). HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
- DA: 63% of basic pay, the central rate from 1 Jul 2026.
