A. Educational Qualification

  • For Subject Matter Specialist (Plant Protection): Master’s Degree in Agricultural Entomology or Plant Pathology (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized university.
  • For Sr.Scientist-cum-Head: Doctoral Degree in Agricultural Sciences (including relevant basic sciences). Experience: Minimum 8 years experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/6,000/7,000/8,000 or equivalent. Desirable: Ph.D. in Agriculture Extension, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Soil Science, etc.

B. Age Limit & Relaxation

  • Age Calculation: Age is calculated as on the Closing Date of application submission.
  • SC/ST Candidates: Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable as per Govt. of India rules.
  • OBC Candidates: Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable.
  • PwD Candidates: Age relaxation of 10 years is applicable.

5. Selection Process

  • This is a Direct Recruitment process. The selection will be based on the following stages:
  • Screening of Applications: The committee will screen applications based on qualifications and experience.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The interview will likely be held at KVK Babhaleshwar or a designated center in Ahilyanagar.
